Language and motor skills continue to develop and writing patterns are introduced. PRE READING continues and look and say words and phonics are introduced. Basic phonics lead to 2 letter or 3 letter words. The children can then read simple sentences using a combination of these methods. NUMERACY continues with counting, sorting, matching, recognizing shapes and numbers etc.
